Incision healed!
Mom saw the surgeon yesterday and the incision is officially healed. Her bile drainage bag remains attached, but it's better that she's still draining externally versus internally.
Her voice is stronger all the time, and she claims to be feeling better everyday.

What a wonderful way to start the day reading this wonderful news!!! As always your postings are such a great way of knowing that she is on the road to recovery. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't have thoughts of the Fort family. Our prayers will continue and each day is bringing all of you closer to the way things should be. ReplyDeleteGreat news! The check list of accomplishments and victories is getting longer as your body heals and recovers from the surgery. And each day you are one day closer to the drainage thing (good vocab. word, mrs. brom!!) being a "thing" of the past.
Glad that you're gaining strength, and as you're able to do more in terms of exercise and activities, the more strength you'll have. So continue to rest, eat healthy, be as active as you can without overdoing. Like the childhood story, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can ...."
