No more rain!

Wowsers.

It's been rainy and cold in Minnesota. It's been rainy and tornado-ish in Denver (it's my Kansan curse; I brought a once-in-20-years tornado to Brooklyn, too). Has it at least been sunshiney in Kansas?

This week has been busy for mums. I received a pic of her tapping away on her laptop, ever trying to keep up at work. I know the pain meds put a certain curse on her that won't leave for a bit until they clear out of her system. Her clear thinking and relentless energy will be back soon.

Doc appointments today... if all goes well... well, she might be heading home soon.

  1. Good Morning, Paulette ...

Today is a new day of great possibilities as you meet with your medical "peeps" (heard that on a Reba show last night, thought it was as funny as could be ... maybe it was one of those "had to be there" events ... oh,well] and they track the progress on your recovery plan. When the time is right, you'll be back home where you belong ... as in Hickok Street, Ulysses, Kansas, US of A! We all are praying for your body to gain strength and your heart to be anchored in peace and hope.

    Today's Joke:

A flight attendant noticed that a little girl traveling on her own was wearing a Medical Alert bracelet. The flight attendant asked her what the bracelet was for.

"I'm allergic to nuts and eggs."

"Are you allergic to cats, too?"

"I don't know. I don't eat cats," the little girl replied.

Encouraging Words in II Corinthians 13:11 -- “Be cheerful, Paulette. Keep things in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure.”

God loves you, Paulette. And so do I.

    Praying for you,
    Joyce

  3. Good Morning Paulette & Patsy

Thinking of you this morning... there are two rhubarb cupcakes left :>) and it looks like Jerry isn't going to touch them.

I pray that your dr. appt. endorses what we have been reading between the lines, that even though progress might seem slow to the one in it, they see great strides of improvement. To hear that you are typing and "working"??!! is amazing.

Today is the day the Lord hath made, we rejoice and are glad in it.

    Loves & Hugs,
    Susie

  4. Hey Paulette,

What's with the working while you are recovering? Or maybe it is just a diversion. I hope the pain is gone soon.

It's cold and rainy here as well. How dreary, but we need the moisture and the racing creek behind my house puts me to sleep at night. It's very tempting to stay in bed with a good book on rainy days.

I will be thinking of you as you check in the the docs. Thanks Taryn, for keeping everyone up to date. nk

  5. We are all praying for good news today from the home front. Hopefully you will get to come back to the home front soon. We continue to pray for healing and for strength to get you through the day and on to better days. It has been cloudy with a little rain here last evening. Southwest Kansans never complain when we get rain do we. I hope for your sake Minnesota gets some sunshine especially Friday so you can have a bright yellow sunshiny day. God Bless Terri T
