Home

Mom finally made it home after one of those nightmarish days dealing with airlines and terrible thunderstorms.

Suffice it to say that she's exhausted and needs rest. But, she's glad to be home and on my daddy's birthday, no less.

  2. Good Morning, Paulette.

Glad that you're home, safe and sound. Another big day that you won't have to repeat, especially since it was a not-so fun experience.

Happy Birthday, Greg. I know having Paulette home is the best birthday gift ever. Enjoy.

Our thoughts and prayers continue for the whole family. Paulette, get plenty of rest, eat hearty, and enjoy time with your family ... great recovery plan, don't you think?

    Today's Joke: "What's with ..."

Why is it when you turn on TV, you see ads for telephone companies; and when you turn on the radio, you hear ads for TV shows; and when you get put on hold on the phone, you hear a radio station?

How come you have to pay someone to rotate your tires? Isn't that the basic idea behind the wheel? Don't they rotate on their own?

You're sitting at a red light. When the car ahead of you pulls up a couple of inches, you do, too. You feel as if you've made real progress as you say to yourself, "Whew, I thought I'd be late, but now that I am 9 inches closer, I can stop for coffee and a doughnut!"

Encouraging Words in II Thessalonians 1:2 (Message) -- “Our God gives you everything you need, Paulette, makes you everything you’re going to be.” (Message)

Have a great Sunday, my friend.

    With God's love,
    Joyce

  5. Good Monday Morning, Paulette.

The south wind this morning made our wind chimes sound like a whole orchestra, then add to that the birds' chatter to welcome the beautiful sunrise, wow, what a blessing to wake up to the wonders of the Lord's creative touch.

Our prayers continue for you as you rest at home. God is taking care of you, my friend.

Today's Joke: An optimist is one who gets chased up a tree by a lion but enjoys the scenery.

God's promise in Psalm 138:8 is very encouraging: "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for Paulette."

Lord, we give you this day, and we trust You to help us through the challenges we will face--we trust You to change in us what needs to be different--we trust the people You put within our path to be messengers of Your grace, love, and peace--we trust the circumstances we understand and the ones we don't to be times of growth within us. We expect to be closer to You, Lord, by the end of this day. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Paulette, God loves you, and so do I.

    Caring about you,
    Joyce
