Gettin' out

Update: Mums is safely home and sleeping. Patsy said they planned to enjoy a rainy afternoon relaxing.

I briefly spoke to Patsy this morning while they were packing up mom's belongings and readying for the discharge. They hope to get home and spend the remainder of the day relaxing and resting.

When all of a sudden on the rooftop so high..
    there's a clutter!
And with a "HO! HO! HO " and a lemony sigh..

Who should appear before my wondering eyes..
    (It was a bumpy ride)
But the Dynamic Duo giving "High Fives"!!!

Twasn't a "piece of cake" along the way but lemon pie is just as good!

  2. HOOOOOORay for you! Those doctors will have you staring in a film about - this whole ordeal. You are such a champion - they will for sure want to document this recovery of the Fiesty Lady from Kansas! I'd hold out for a guest appearance on "Greys" after - all you are just as thin as those prissy Hollywood stars! Maybe they will let you put your handprints in cement back in Ulysses.... You truly are a STAR to Them!!!!love Connie

  4. Good Morning, Paulette,

Every day now you are feeling more and more like the person you really are as opposed to being a patient. Hey, I heard that patience is over-rated anyway!! I want it now ... if I had wanted it tomorrow, I would have said tomorrow ... did you hear these lips say tomorrow ... I didn't think so ... all righty then, we have that settled! ha, ha

I am so very happy that you and Patsy are settled into your Paulette and Patsy Pad ... taking back the Fort with "Fortitude" no doubt!

We are praying that you continue to gain strength as you recuperate. Each day brings encouragement and hope. God is taking care of you, Paulette.

    Today's Joke:

A fellow looked pretty worried when he arrived at the doctor's office for his annual physical. Noticing the patient's anxiety, the doctor asked, "Is anything troubling you?"

"Well, to tell the truth, Doc, yes," replied the patient. "You see, I seem to be getting forgetful. No, actually, it's worse than that. I'm never sure where I put the car or whether I answered a letter or where I'm going or what it is I'm going to do once I get there ... IF I get there. I really need your help. What can I do?"

The doctor thought for a moment. "Pay me in advance."

Encouraging words from Ephesians 1:2 -- “May His blessings and peace be yours, Paulette, sent to you from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.”

    Have a great Sunday, Paulette.

    Caring about you,
    Joyce
