Discharged tomorrow

Mums will be discharged tomorrow! What an amazing difference from where we were just one week ago.

We are very blessed and lucky. We're especially thankful for Patsy's help this week and during next week as mom continues to recover in Rochester.

You can send cards and other fun things to mom at:

1533 9th Avenue SE

  3. Hi, Paulette.

Wow, getting discharged so soon -- you are doing great. Can't keep a good woman down, no way. We are so thankful about the good news. I heard someone once say, "A hospital is not the best place to get well ... home is." In this case, your home away from home will do just fine, thank you very much. I am so excited that you're getting discharged tomorrow. Don't look now, but even my toenails are grinning!

Kudos to Patsy, who now has earned the title of nurse extraordinaire. Kudos to Susie, who earned the title of hostess with the mostess in Colorado. And, folks, look in your TV Guide for this summer's hit show "Sewing with Susie."
    The Buttons are so neat.

Thank you to Taryn for the up-dates.

Thank You to God for speeding up your recuperation, Paulette. I do believe someone came out when no one was looking and put all of the hurdles away. Hurray!

    Today's Joke:
Teacher: If I had 7 oranges in one hard and 8 oranges in the other, what would I have?
Student in the Back: Big hands!

Encouraging Words from Colossians 1:2 -- "May God our Father shower Paulette with blessings and fill her with His great peace."

God bless you tonight with a good night's sleep. He is taking care of you, Paulette.

    Praying for you,
    Joyce

  4. Paulette and Patsy,
Such great news! Hope you are getting better everyday and continue to even after they release you.

Patsy hang in there! You are doing great. I'm sure Paulette and the rest of the family are greatful you are there.

Continue to eat and get your rest, Paulette. We can't wait for you to get all well so you can come back to hot, windy, sunny Southwest Kansas! :) We are suppose to hit the 100 mark with 30 mile hour winds over the weekend!

Don't you both wish you were here, your missing out!!

  5. Good Morning, Minn-e-so-ta [as in Good Morning, Viet Nam ... Robin Williams]!

Today is the day that you will abandon the cute hospital gowns (with their built-in air conditioning), the day that you will exchange the antiseptic walls of the ward and endless hallways, elevators that are incubating rooms for viruses -- don't touch anything, let someone else push L for lobby!, etc., for your little bungalow on 9th Avenue SE (which stands for Stay Enthused). Hurray, up and away!!

    Today's Joke:

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were on a camping trip. They had gone to bed and were lying there looking up at the sky. Holmes said, "Watson, look up. What do you see?"

"Well, I see thousands of stars."

"And what does that mean to you?"

"Well, I guess it means we have another nice day tomorrow. What does it mean to you, Holmes?"

    "Someone has stolen our tent."

Encouraging Words in Colossians 1:2 -- "May God our Father shower you with blessings, Paulette, and fill you with His great peace."

    Have a great Saturday, Paulette.

    Praying for you,
    Joyce

  7. Hi again, Paulette. I thought to myself, Self, I wonder if I ever repeat the same Bible verses to Paulette. Perhaps I should check back and see what ones I've already shared. After all there are only a zazillion good Scriptures. So I looked back. Hmmm, didn't have to look far since I had just shared Colossians 1:2 last night. Ha, ha. So much for the money I dished out for "Memory Magic." As a teacher, I could just say, "Always good to review what you already know to be true." Know what, my friend, I'm just going to forge ahead and not fret over repeating, repeating, repeating, repea ... stop it!! ... anything. Have some sort of terrific Saturday, Paulette. God loves you, and so do I. Blessings, Joyce

  8. Good Morning Paulette & Patsy,

It is a beautiful sunny morning here but even a cloud cover could not change that fact. We cheer you on as you leave the hospital and continue healing so far away, holding fast to that carrot that will lead you home very soon.

We praise God for the blessings He has brought about for you, Paulette. Trust Him to restore your health and bring new joy to your life.

Sharon and I are off to the Paris Flea Market this morning. Yes, that's really what they call it in Littleton, CO.

The farmer's market begins at the Orchard Town Center tomorrow. You can be sure we will be enjoying some of that yummy lemon chocolate bread!

I'm wearing my yellow flower pin for you today. Hope it will bring good luck for flea market treasures, too.

Wishing you a lilt in your step as you leave the hospital for greener pastures....

    Loves & Hugs,
    Susie
