Yellow Fridays

Mark Twain said: “I saw a cat yesterday with 4 legs and yet it was only a yellow cat, and rather small, too, for its size. They were not all fore legs several of them were hind legs; indeed almost a majority of them were.”

I say... Pshaw. That's silly. Let's show our yellow and support for momma ASAP!

  1. Good Morning, Paulette.

Cool breezes rush through the house as Friday morning comes alive with activity. This is a good day, Paulette, as the tests finish up and you head into the weekend, where you can relax, eat giant-sized muffins, and breathe in the Minnesota fragances of springtime.

I am praying for you and Greg as you await hearing from your medical team as they are using the white board and marker to work out the best game plays for success, taking in all of your strengths, all of your needs, and all of the options (Mayo people, don't forget the strong bench ... not a weak player in the bunch of us who are there just rarin' to go!). Paulette, this is your time, this is your strongest game day.

    Today's Joke:
As my 5-year-old son and I were headed to McDonald's one day, we saw a car accident up ahead. Usually when we see something terrible like that, we say a quick prayer for anyone who might be hurt. So I said to my son, "We should pray."
From the backseat I heard his earnest request: "Please, God, don't let those cars be blocking the entrance to McDonald's."

Encouraging Words from Nehemiah 8:10: "The joy of the Lord is Paulette's strength."

Paulette, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Blessings,
    Joyce

  2. Hi Paulette,
Just to let you know I've got my "Shocker" yellow on for you today (and also my faculty meetings:) Your first week of "exams" is almost over. I read some information this morning that may be helpful to you later on...Ginger capsules have been found to help with chemo nausea. AP report on a large study to test the herb for this benefit. Ginger has long been know for its soothing effect for stomachaches. The study is out of the University of Rochester in New York. Hmmmm, maybe you can find a good Thai food place in Minnisota too? Keep your spirits up....The Dowlings
